Release Date- Future of Season 2
The first season proved to be very successful. Fans have been eagerly waiting for season two of this fantastic series. There is no official confirmation of season two of Kabaneri, till now. As it has been a couple of years regarding no updates, it creates more eagerness among its followers for the subsequent seasons. But, there prevails, only a little ray of hope for the future seasons, as it shifted to the 3-episode film which was streamed on Netflix on May 10, 2019, named Kabaneri of Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato. It didn’t meet the actual expectations of the audience, which originated from the actual series, season 1, yet made a good fan base. There are little chances of more films having 2-3 episodes, which could be dropped on Netflix if further decided.
The Cast
With very few chances of a comeback, the season of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, if the next season is released, there are probable chances of the appearance of some favorite characters. Ikoma- voiced by Tasuku Hatanak and Robbie Diamond A young man, who makes his living as a steam smith. He invented a piercing gun that is used against Kabane. His character is projected as smart and intelligent. Mumei- voiced by Sayaka Senbongi and Janice Kawaye Her character is projected like a mysterious girl who is later revealed to be kabaneri with great potential of killing kabane easily. Ayame Yomogawa –voiced by Maaya Uchida and Veronica Taylor Again her character is showcased as a potential leader with her noble sense and understanding. Kurusu-voiced by Toshiki Masuda and Jamieson Price He turned out to be a noble and honest character, a personal bodyguard of Ayame. Apart from this, there are some amazing characters like Takumi, Kajika, Yukina, Surak. If the season comes, they will surely return.
The Plot- All about the season
Well, the plot for the upcoming seasons is highly unpredictable. The plot for season one turned out to be very exciting. The story revolves around the virus which infected the humans, and they turned into kabane. Kabane, aggressive and deadly creatures, cannot be defeated easily. But there is a secret of their defeat, their glowing golden heart. Kabane hijacked hayajiro, which crashed in Aragane Station where Ikoma, a bold young engineer, used his invention, a piercing gun, an anti kabane weapon against kabane. He gets infected by the virus during the battle and transforms into a human kabane- Kabaneri. Later, seek help from other characters of the story for survival. If the show proceeds, it will be exciting to see how they will protect humans from being extinct.
What we know about so far
Final Thoughts
As it is the most appreciated series among animation, fans are waiting for its sequel. Yet, there are very low chances as this series is based on the 100% original anime by Ichiro Okouchi. As it is not based on any novel, there is a struggle for the source material Speculations has been there, which creates a low tendency of the new season but the great reviews still create hope of comeback season.
